Research Institute of Plant Quarantine and Protection
It has been 110 years since the establishment of the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection. The foundation for the establishment of the Institute was the establishment of the Turkestan Entomological Station in Tashkent in 1911, on the initiative of the famous entomologist-scientist V.I. Plotnikov. On the basis of this station, in 1925, the Uzbek Plant Protection Station was established, and in 1931, this station became part of the All-Union Cotton Institute and was called the Central Laboratory of Plant Protection. By the Resolution of the Presidium of the Uzbek Academy of Agricultural Sciences No. 3 dated September 27, 1957, it was transformed into the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-2640 dated October 24, 2016, “On measures to improve the system of plant protection and agrochemical services for agriculture,” it was transformed into the Limited Liability Company of the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-6159 dated February 3, 2021 "On the further development of the system of knowledge and innovations in agriculture and the provision of modern services" and the Resolution No. PP-4975 dated February 3, 2021 "On the organization of the activities of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovations in Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan", it was reorganized as the Scientific and Research Institute of Plant Protection. In accordance with the Decree No. PF-6262 and Resolution No. PP-5185 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to radically improve the system of plant quarantine and protection in the republic" dated July 15, 2021, it was reorganized as the "Scientific and Research Institute of Plant Quarantine and Protection" within the "Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency".
Since its establishment, the Institute has been managed by its founders, who have contributed to the development of scientific research and the training of qualified personnel. Our scientists who have made invaluable contributions:

Olimzhanov, N.G. Zaprometov, F.M. Uspensky, K.I. Larchenko, F.A. Stepanov, S.A. Zhuravskaya, Z.K. Odilov, Sh.T. Khuzhaev, A. Marupov, F.A. Gapparov, H. Yakhoev, who made a great contribution to the development of science and the application of scientific achievements in production, have made great contributions to the development of science. The results of scientific research and works of these scientists have led to great achievements in the fields of entomology, agricultural entomology, phytopathology, ecology and agrotoxicology in our republic, and are consistent with our achievements in agriculture.
