An international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Problems in the field of plant protection and their modern solutions" was organized at the Research Institute of Plant Quarantine and Protection. In accordance with the “Roadmap for the development of the field of plant quarantine and protection in 2021-2024”, approved by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-5185 dated July 15, 2021 “On the establishment of the Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the Agency and system organizations are carrying out systematic work on the consistent development of international cooperation, including the organization of retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field, involving experts from leading international organizations in the field of plant quarantine. The international conference organized based on the above brought together experts from a number of countries, including international experts such as Mustafa Uz from Turkey, Dusunceli Fazil and Ruggiero Malossi from Italy, Tom Cunningham from Ireland, as well as representatives of the Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency, agronomist inspectors of the Plant Quarantine and Protection Departments of Tashkent city and Tashkent region, and scientists from the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Quarantine and Protection. employees, as well as scientists from Tashkent State Agrarian University, participated in the conference with relevant scientific articles and reports on the field. The conference also discussed many topics, such as the search for scientific solutions to current problems in the field of plant quarantine and protection and their elimination. At the end of the conference, a number of agreements were reached on strengthening cooperation between the Agency's system organizations, in particular the Scientific Research Institute, and foreign organizations in the field of plant quarantine, developing scientific, methodological and educational potential in ensuring phytosanitary safety, introducing modern innovative solutions, planning and management methods, expanding international cooperation in the introduction of advanced technologies and work methods, and organizing systematic retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field.
